I had the fortune of working a few weeks ago at the MDA Harley ride to Wendover. Basically 10,000 guys get on their bikes and ride 80 miles west to a run-down desert gambling city for a concert. An excuse to drink beer and hang out with other people in leather is all it really is. At least it's all for charity.
The headlining act was Blue Oyster Cult. I had an all-access pass but I was too busy (and shy) to go backstage and talk to the band. I regret it because I'm curious their thoughts on the Will Ferrel/Christopher Walken SNL skit. Do they get sick of everyone coming up to them and saying "more cowbell!?" Or do they appreciate the resurgence in what I suppose you could call their popularity (or at least acknowledgment of existence).
These are questions that need answers.
