Enough about the crazy astronaut diaper lady already... In real news that will actually affect you, did you hear about the new Stephen Colbert ice cream flavor from Ben & Jerry's?Just kidding, what I really wanted to blog about is a recent statement from Steve Jobs. In it he says that he would remove DRM "in a heartbeat" from the iTunes music store if the 4 big music companies would agree to sell their music without it.
Since the release of this statement, word on the street is there are lots of independent artists (Barenaked Ladies being one of them) putting pressure on Apple to sell their music DRM-less.
Could this be the beginning of the end for DRM? We can only pray. The dream of a technological society with interoperability will someday become reality. Say that 10 times fast.
