Let the madness begin!

Andy Williams was wrong. This is the most wonderful time of the year. The days are getting longer, the sun is shining, and in anticipation of another first-round NCAA loss, BYU players wives are busy getting in fights. If you're a sports fan, as Hot Rod Hundley says, "You gotta love it baby!"

The only thing missing is U. The U of U that is. We'll see how 1st year coach Jim Boylen's team matches up against the other also-rans in the inaugural and pointless CBI tourney.

Here's to "wishing you were somehow here again!" And by you I mean the U (or Rick Majerus). And by here I mean the final four in San Antonio (or SLC in the case of Majerus). And by wishing I mean I'm sick and tired of our basketball team sucking!

PS. Did you know the odds of filling out a perfect bracket are 1 in 9 quintillion? No kidding.

Ike, you cannot pick L'Ville to go to the Final 4! They lost to BYU this year!

Oh, and smart move having BYU lose first round - they ALWAYS lose first round. That is almost a big a gimme as the #1 seed beating the 16. abe

Well, I don't think I need to justify myself but it just seemed like a good chance for a Cinderella pick. Pitino is a good coach and it seems like the teams with good coaches usually do alright. Plus, supposedly, their team has "grown" since the beginning of the season. And BYU really isn't that bad of a team.

But you're probably right. Since I picked them in the Final Four, look for them to make an early exit in the 1st or 2nd rounds!

Abe - 2 weeks later I'm not really in a position to tell you "I told you so" because the rest of my bracket is so horrible, but Louisville was SO CLOSE to making the final 4 and ended up being not too bad of a pick afterall.
