More than twice the number of people chose to watch American Idol last night than the Grammys. Good for you America. There are too many awards shows as it is. The music industry alone has the American Music Awards, the MTV something awards, the CMT awards, the Academy of Country music awards, the Grammys, etc., etc... All of which are televised. And that's music alone.
My favorite awards show: The Daytime Emmys! I think I'm going to die from overyawning.
The celebrities are having a party, and guess what? You're not invited. But you can watch it on TV and pretend you are.
I'm going to hold my own awards show. One of the categories will be "Most Pointless Awards Show." After fumbling for what seems like 5 minutes to open the envelope, I will act shocked to reveal that I, myself, am the winner! I'd like to thank my lovely wife... And, oh yeah, God.

Hey, I agree about there being too many award shows. Don't they get paid enough money- now they need a trophy? What's up with that?
