Hopefully I made yesterday half as special for Jana as she did for me. I woke up bright and early to take a shower, only to run into this...

A shower full of balloons! I hesitate to even post this picture because of the grime on our shower glass, but it's too funny not to post. Jana, what were you thinking? What made you think that at 7 o'clock in the morning, when all I want is a hot shower, I would want to have to remove 30 balloons in order to take one? It reminds me of being little and playing 52-card pickup. What a thoughtful gift!
But the truth of the matter is, the more I break it down, the more thoughtful it really was. The time and effort it takes just to blow up 30 balloons is incredible. Then to make sure they were hidden from me is more effort. And to top it all off - the fact that Jana got up in the middle of the night to fill the shower blows my mind!
Jana didn't just pull loving pranks on me either, she spent the last 4 weeks making me a heart-shaped book with coupons good for "house cleaning," "meal of your choice," etc. The book is adorable, and is full of love, thought, and a lot of elbow grease.
And that's not all, she made me a Valentine's gift basket too! Talk about going all out!
And all I got her was roses and chocolates. I love you Jana!

That is such a fun thing that your wife did for you! I am glad to see that you realized what effort she put into it, instead of thinking how big of a pain it might be to have to strain removing items that weigh but a few ounces from your shower...when was the last time you actually had to clean the shower yourself?? I bet your wife does that for you...
The roses and chocolates are nice, but maybe next year you can think be a little bit more original! Maybe give HER a coupon book!
Ike -
I have to admit, I was a little upset that you would complain about the balloons! But you redeemed yourself. I loved the roses!
I can complain as much as I want about anything I want! That's what a blog is for, right?
