Conan Overdose?

Late last night while watching Conan, I realized something. I wasn't laughing. At all. Sure, I may have broken the occasional smile, but I don't think I LOL'ed (gosh I hate that acronym with a passion) once. And when I started thinking about it, I think the longer Conan has been hosting the Tonight Show, the less I've been laughing.

Has Conan lost his touch? Or maybe since he's moved to an earlier time he's changed his style? Or maybe he's like cheesecake... good to eat every once in awhile, but not an appropriate dessert every single night (I never watched nightly before).

Whatever it is, I've been disappointed recently, am about ready to give up watching regularly, and I miss my Monday headlines. The Jay Leno show can't come fast enough.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything except the Jay Leno BS. HOWEVER, I will say that without a doubt my biggest laughs lately have been from Andy! (although last nights segment at the all star break was kind of lame) The more Conan incorporates Andy, the funnier both Andy and Conan are.

You're spot on Abe. I had high hopes for a sketch where Andy goes to the All-Star game. Sounds funny, right? It was perhaps the unfunniest Conan sketch of all time - or at least that I've seen.
