How can you women watch this garbage? I have always hated The Bachelor. Thankfully, when we got DVR a few years back, Jana could tape it and watch it the next day when I was at work. But never the finales. These have to be watched live. They're like major sporting events..."The rest of the world can't find out before me! Unfair!"
The thing that bugs me the most about The Bachelor is the "honeymoon suite." For those who are lucky enough to say they haven't seen the show and don't know what the "honeymoon suite" is, let me explain. When there are 3 people left they each get to spend a day with the bachelor and then the bachelor/bachelorette chooses whether to invite each of them back to the "honeymoon suite" for the night. The invitation is ALWAYS extended, and it's always accepted. What goes on in the honeymoon suite is anyone's guess. I think they play card games and watch chick flicks, but I could be wrong.
It's so funny to watch this show where one person proposes marriage to another, when a)They've only known each other only a few short weeks (and even then they share time with a bunch of other people), and b)they know the person they're proposing to was making whoopee just a few short days before with another person. What gives? No wonder these couples never stay together!
Yuck. Never again will I fall into this trap. I'm starting planning now for a guys night out next season finale. If your wife watches this garbage, let me know and we'll go see Diehard 5 together.

I was roped into watching this last night too...why do the girls hearts seem to melt over these guys? I am not talking about the ones on the show, I am talking about all of the girls watching. 1.) They are all such "great guys" when they are all sleeping around and okay with that. 2.) The girl always go for the guy that is the "cool guy" and to me there are red flags all over the place that they are not going to be the one that treats them better. Anyways it is juts funny that girls are glued to the TV about this soap opera, and that they are pulling for these relationship to work out and rationalizing them when there is no committment or morals...
Update: I just got off the phone with Jana and she was in tears! In tears I tell you! She had just finished watching "The Bachelorette, After the Final Rose." Thank you Jana for watching it without me!
Was she in tears because you wrote crap about her show or about what happened on the show?
Fortunately, my wife does not like this crap! She does watch every home makeover show known to man.
Deanna and Jesse are perfect for each other and they will last for forever no matter what you say!!!!
I would just like to have you all know that last night Ike watched every second of the finale with me- and I even saw a tear trickle down his cheek...you see, he was rooting for Jason to win her heart!
I watched portions of the first Bachelor and I agree with Isaac. At the time a teacher at my school was the Beehive advisor and she couldn't get her Beehives to come to activities unless it was to watch the evening Bachelor show! What is that teaching a young girl? The teacher refused! and some parents were MAD! WHAT?
I agree that I probably shouldn't be watching this show--especially when you think about the lack of morals. We all need to try harder and I guess this is my weakness!
It's okay Jana, you and I can watch The Bachelor together in our fire-filled cave!
Thanks Katie! I was patiently waiting for someone else to be on my side!
